The antidote is inner peace

The strive is real; to achieve, to win, to be the first, the richest, the top, the busiest, the cleverest. But I am learning to tune out those messages, as I have observed the ‘winners’ never get there. It’s never enough because they have not found peace – for there lies contentment.
To achieve contentment is actually being the winner. To be happy with your ‘lot’ is the missing ‘peace’.
To know where your peace and contentment lie stops the striving and the boasting, and brings you back into your body and breath. No-one else, and nothing else matters. Let them be; let them strive.
It doesn’t matter.
For me, my peace is touching the heather, breathing the mountain air, watching the sigh of the waves and the trickle of the streams.
